After many years of waiting, a year ago Apple released a new, refreshed version of its AirPods Pro in-ear headphones. The second version of these earphones has undergone major changes, for example in terms of the charging case. However, it is possible that a new, third edition of these headphones will be released this year.
If the latest reports are confirmed, then the third edition of the earphones should not be radically different from the AirPods Pro 2. The only changes are to enter the case charging the earphones. So far, it has used the Lightning port, but due to the fact that the latest iPhones are supposed to support the USB-C input, we can expect Apple to release a new version of the AirPods with the USB-C input. Such earphones would be available on the market in the second or third quarter of 2023.
