Most of people who are surfing on the Internet nowadays can't imagine their life without social medias. Choice of websites is wide: from the most popular portals we should mention Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and the most annoying thing in using these social medias is sharing of our data between these pages. If we want to share our new photos on all our accounts we must upload it separately on each of them. Four of the biggest companies on market decided to cooperate and they want to create open-source project which will help in solving this problem.

Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter are working on new project which has name Data Transfer Project. Their goal is simple - they want to make new standard, which will allow for transfer of data between websites directly, without need to download these data. If everything will work according to the plan, then whole process will be done by Data Transfer Project. Process will work not only on photos - DTP will copy on other websites also other important information like contacts, calendars and task lists. Apart from mentioned websites DTP will work on Instagram (which belongs to Facebook company), Flickr, Remember the Milk and SmugMug. This list may be expanded in future.
