To encourage people to buy phones, companies are racing in the subject of phones specification. Currently, some phones on the market have 6GB of RAM, and probably soon we will see smartphones with 8GB of RAM on the market. Race based on the numbers continues, but is the difference between 4GB and 6GB of RAM felt if we take into account look of current processors or motherboards? Heads of Huawei recently expressed their opinion on this subject.
Lao Shi, one of most important people from Huawei published information on Weibo that their company made some tests about work of phones with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. Phones with 4GB of RAM worked very well, very comparable to theoretically better and more expensive models with more RAM memory. How says Lao Shi, in his opinion paying for more than 4GB of RAM at the moment is overpaying, and 4GB is enough. He also compared the situation on the market to nuclear race during the Cold War between the USA and the USSR.
Despite this, he knows that people are willing to buy models with 6GB of RAM and says that the company wants to grow, and in the long run it is connected with the use of better units.
