Until now, Huawei has created its foldable smartphones only as part of the Mate X series. These phones unfolded horizontally, but with the introduction of its new foldable smartphone, Huawei presented its first foldable phone that unfolds vertically. Meet the Huawei P50 Pocket.

In terms of design, it resembles the competitive Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, which is natural due to the fact that both phones refer to old flip phones. In terms of specifications, the Huawei P50 Pocket received a 6.9-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 1-inch external screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which can be used to display basic information such as the current hour, date or notifications. The phone bases on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 8/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal memory. The smartphone received three main lenses (40MP, 32MP and 13MP) and a single front camera (10.7MP). In addition, Huawei has used a 4000mAh battery in its new foldable phone. So far, the smartphone is only available in China and its prices start at around 1400$. Huawei assures, however, that the phones will soon appear on other markets as well.
