The first beta versions of iOS 14 caused that users could notice some applications reliably track clipboard of users using the iPhone, which store information selected for copying to another place. With the launch of the new iOS version on the market, the system will inform the user that a specific application will want to read the contents of the clipboard and possibly users can give permission for it. Until now, some users were not even aware that they have applications on their devices that have access to this information.

Among the applications that read the contents of users' clipboards are such popular applications as LinkedIn or Reddit. This information has been confirmed after tests carried out by Internet users, but what is important - these applications have access to information from users' clipboards, but they do not send this data to servers and these data are not shared with other companies. LinkedIn spokesman Greg Snapper claims that the application actually has code that reads the value of the user's clipboard to compare the message written by the user with the content in the clipboard. The case finally went to a court in San Francisco, where a lawsuit was filed by one of the application users - Adam Bauer.
