During The Game Awards 2021, the authors of the game PUBG: Battlegrounds, previously known as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, announced that the game will switch to a free-to-play model in the near future, which will allow to gain a new group of players. However, the producers have not announced when this will happen, so it is a big surprise that the latest update of PUBG: Battlegrounds to version 15.2 provides the game in a free version now for all players.

For people who purchased PUBG: Battlegrounds, the authors prepared a special package earlier. It includes special game skins and the Battlegrounds Plus bundle, which will be available for purchase for 12.99$ for all players and it includes special boosts and 1,300 G-COIN in the game. Currently, PUBG: Battlegrounds is available on computers via Steam platform, as well as on consoles (Xbox and PlayStation) and on mobile devices.
