Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, both the governments of individual countries and the private companies themselves have been imposing sanctions on the Russian side. This is to hinder the functioning of the Russian economy, but the companies themselves also do not want to be associated with the invading side. Huawei has a controversial past. A few years ago it was said that Huawei could cooperate with the Chinese government in terms of sharing information about its users, and now rumors have appeared on the Internet indicating that Huawei could have trained 50 thousand of Russian hackers in terms of network attacks. Despite the fact that this information was denied by the Polish branch of Huawei, one of the most popular faces promoting Huawei has decided to end its cooperation with the Chinese company. It is about Robert Lewandowski.
So far, Robert Lewandowski has not published information confirming the end of his cooperation with Huawei, but the information is unofficially confirmed by the player's manager himself. Probably, despite the denial of reports pointing to Huawei's support for the Russian side, the footballer himself did not want to be associated with such rumors and decided to terminate the contract unilaterally. Such a decision in financial terms may cost Lewandowski a lot. There are reports in the press indicating that Lewandowski will have to pay Huawei compensation of up to 5 million of euro.
