Samsung Galaxy Fold is Samsung's first foldable phone, which, due to the unusual solutions used during its creation, debuted on the market with a delay after many months of work on solving hidden defects in foldable screens. Ultimately, the phone appeared on the market, but the manufacturer to avoid similar problems in the future will probably decide to make big changes in the aspect of new foldable screen.
If the latest information is confirmed, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will have a screen made of thin glass called UTG. This will allow removing plastic elements from the screen, which will ultimately translate into greater strength of foldable screen. In addition, use of a screen made using UTG will reduce production costs, which may ultimately cause a reduction in the price of upcoming Galaxy Fold 2. Premiere of Galaxy Fold 2 will probably take place in February 2020 during a special event called Samsung Unpacked.
