OnePlus was one of the pioneers of solutions in smartphone's displays that allow increasing the screen refresh rate. Despite the fact that it is a function that is hard to "sell" in marketing way, it turned out to be very positively received by customers, which is why more and more companies are using displays with a refresh rate of 90 Hz in their devices. Importantly, OnePlus continues to develop their phones in this regard. A new type of display constructed by OnePlus has just been presented, which will probably be used in OnePlus 8 Pro.

The new display is based on the well-known OLED panel, and it uses two innovative solutions: "Smooth Chain" and "Motion Estmiation Motion Compensation". The first of these solutions is to be responsible for the smallest delay in reading the user's intentions after touching the screen, and the second option allows you to simulate videos recorded in worse quality up to play them even in 120 frames per second. Importantly, the screen itself is going to be fully adapted to the refresh rate of 120 Hz, and in terms of response to touch it should operate even at a frequency of 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
