When OnePlus decided that the back of the flagship smartphones manufactured by this company will be glass, there immediately appeared rumors that the phones could be given the option of wireless charging. The president of the company Pete Lau quickly denied these rumors claiming that this type of charging in OnePlus phones is not needed and the owners of phones of this manufacturer will be satisfied with Dash Charge which will allow to charge the phone from 0% to 100% in less than an hour. In the course of 1.5 years, however, a lot has changed, because everything indicates that OnePlus 8 series of phones will support wireless charging.
Information confirming this news appears from an increasing number of sources, but for now we do not know what specific phones will make up OnePlus 8 series. It is almost certain that wireless charging will be supported by OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8, but at the moment we do not know too much about a possible third representative of the series, which can be OnePlus 8 Lite. If such a phone appears on the market (and probably it will happen), then access to wireless charging in this device will be treated as a pleasant surprise, as it seems that option of wireless charging may rise the price of this phone too much.
