Market of apps for smartphones is a very profitable market. Micropayments occurring in almost every popular application allow even for billions of profits for producers, but the biggest winner in topic of micropayments related to Android is, of course, Google itself. At present Google is charging up to 30% of every transaction in which payment was made through official Google-supported options. This is not liked by the creators of the largest applications, as shown by the changes made by Tinder, which until now was one of the most profitable applications in the Play Store.
Tinder platform will now offer users its own payment method, which will not be supported by Google. Users who will use this payment method will provide their data directly in the app, but Tinder will still allow customers to pay through the official Google Play Store, but this will not be the default payment method. Application developers don't want to fight with Google, because this could lead to the removal of application from Google Play Store, but such changes are contrary to the Google rules. We are very curious how this problem will be solved by Google. We can almost be sure that giant from Mountain View won't ignore this matter, but we may presume that Google doesn't want to remove from its Play Store one of the most profitable apps.
