Endomondo is a popular platform for athletes that allows you to control your achievements while playing sports, which also gave you the opportunity to share your results with friends. The platform gained many fans and grew from year to year, hence it attracted the attention of many larger companies. Finally, Endomondo was bought by Under Armor a few years ago. It turns out, however, that Endomondo does not play an important role in Under Armor's plans for the future, as evidenced by the fact that Endomondo will be officially closed at the end of the year.

A confirmation of these reports appeared on the website of the Endomondo platform. Official support for the app will end on 31st of December this year. On that day, the app will no longer be available to download from app stores. From now on, Under Armor does not plan any updates for Endomondo and even people who will have Endomondo installed after 1st of January will not be able to use the application. The option to buy a paid subscription on the platform was also disabled. If customers had a subscription planned for a period longer than 31st of December 2020, then Under Armor will refund the subscription costs for the months when the platform won't longer work. Under Armor will give its customers the option of transferring data and accounts to another company platform - UA MapMyRun. This option will be available until 31st of March 2021. After that time, unassigned accounts will be removed from the database.
