For phone manufacturers, the big problem is the proper positioning of the cameras in their devices with using of the largest possible space on the smartphone cases in the same time. To make the largest part of the screen available to customers for use, the manufacturers used solutions such as notch in the upper part of the screen or special cutouts for the front camera on the sides of the device. Another solution came up with the Chinese company Xiaomi.

The Chinese company has patented a rotated camera solution. In this case, the phone would have one main camera module located on the back of the smartphone, which, depending on which camera is currently needed to be used, takes up space on the back of the phone or rotates in such a way as to reveal the front camera to the user. Xiaomi patented this solution in July 2019, but now it has been made available on the Internet, but it is a long way from patenting to the implementation of such an idea to devices and it is not known whether Xiaomi ultimately associates serious plans with this idea.
