Slider phones were popular before the beginning of the smartphone era. Devices such as the Sony Ericsson W910i made a sensation on market. This type of mechanism has returned to phones quite recently, because producers have noticed potential of such a solution in hiding the front camera of smartphones. Asus plans to go a step further, and there is a chance that we will see confirmation of these words in the upcoming Zenfone 6.
Evan Blass on Twitter published photos, which probably show Asus Zenfone 6. Asus's latest phone is going to have previously mentioned solution allowing for hiding front camera thanks to pop-up setup, and additional expansion of this idea is to be able to slide part of device from the other side. On the other side of phone, firm will probably hide general speaker. Another render further illustrates another use of this mechanism which allows for hiding secondary display. One of these two solutions of slider can be used in Zenfone 6, which premiere is going to take place in about a month.
