A few years ago, BlackBerry was known for creating popular phones that stood out with the physical keyboard used in most of phones. Some time ago, the manufacturer gave up its activity on the mobile market and focused on another area of the market, namely the development of software for smart cars. Today, BlackBerry announced a very interesting collaboration which will cause that firm will create innovative software for cars.
The company has officially confirmed cooperation with Amazon. Both companies are going to create a new platform based on the QNX system, which will be responsible for engine control, TCU (vehicle tracking) and cockpit personalization. In addition, the connection to Amazon Web Services using the cloud will allow to control the status of the vehicle and battery as well as it will make automatic system updates.
