We recently received an update to Android 7.1.1, and Google hasn't ordered us to wait long for another update. As we can read on official Google’s blog, Android 7.1.2 “includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users”.
If you want to be betatester of this version, you can join Android Beta Program if your phone is mentioned in official statement on blog. It is worth noting that Google will not release version 7.1.2 for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 - for now we know, that beta version will be available for Pixel, Pixel XL, 5X Nexus, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C. Stable version of system will be released in couple of months.
