HMD usually quickly releases all system updates to their phones. No one was surprised by the information published a few months ago that Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco will receive an upgrade to Android 9 Pie in November. It turned out that the update haven't been released, and on the Internet immediately appeared rumors that updates were delayed on purpose.
According to some Internet users, release of the Android system in 9 version for Nokia phones has been delayed because firm wants to increase sales of Nokia 8.1, which is available from the beginning with Android 9 Pie. Company very quickly published a statement in which it informs that delays are not intentional and systems before release must be reliably tested to ensure that system will work for customers without any problems. We hope that this information from the HMD's statement is true, as intentional delay of system updates would be unfair to customers.
