Apple's release plans for smartwatches cover at least two series of devices. These will almost certainly be watches from the flagship Watch 8 series and the cheaper SE variant. It is possible that the company will also create a new series of watches for athletes, but so far this information is not confirmed. However, we know that the company is working hard to improve its smartwatches. Unfortunately, not all the functions that Apple is working on will be developed with the devices coming this year in mind.

This year's Apple Watches will probably have an option to measure body temperature. However, these will not be accurate measurements, hence the exact results will not be displayed, and the temperature measurement itself is mainly used for fertility planning. In addition, Apple plans to improve the atrial fibrillation detection feature in this year's watches. In the future, Apple smartwatches will include functions such as measuring blood pressure or measuring blood glucose levels. Unfortunately, the work on the two features mentioned above is still ongoing and according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, they will not end too soon. It is said that both may not be available for Apple watches until 2024, and it is even possible to postpone their premiere until 2025.
