Previous leaks indicated that Nintendo is working on a new version of the Switch console. It was said that it would be a console that would have a Pro addition in its name. The console itself was to receive much stronger components, which was to positively affect the handling of demanding games. Unexpectedly, without any major announcements, Nintendo actually introduced the new version of the Switch console. However, its specification differs significantly from the previous rumors.
The presented console is Nintendo Switch OLED. Compared to the standard version of the console, the new version is distinguished by a larger screen with a diagonal of 7 inches and a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. In addition, Nintendo added a LAN port to the docking station that allows you to connect the Switch to the Internet using a cable while using the dock. In addition, the Japanese company increased the amount of internal memory in the console from 32GB to 64GB in the new version. The new version of the console will hit stores on 8th of October, and its price will be 349.99$.
So far, we do not have confirmed information about the Pro version of the Nintendo Switch console. It is possible that earlier leaks will actually be confirmed in the future and the next version of the Switch will appear on the market, but so far these reports have not been commented on by Nintendo.
