When Samsung introduced on the market Galaxy Note 7 company boasted about a new type of display. Y-OCTA has integrated sensors to display instead of placing them under the glass. This allows to reduce the width of the phone. Additionally, company by including Y-OCTA into phone saves money on the production of displays.
According to latest reports from Korea Samsung plans to use the same type of display in their newest device - Galaxy S8. The truth will be known in February 2017.
