Strategy Analytics company has published its report describing this market which indicates that despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the market of manufacturers creating cameras for smartphones is doing really well.
The first half of 2020 turned out to be better for this market than the first half of 2019. During the six months, producers managed to record an income of 6.3 billion dollars. This is an increase of 15% compared to the previous year's results. When it comes to the distribution of market revenues between specific manufacturers, Sony is still the largest producer of cameras for phones, with 44% of the market share. The second place went to Samsung, and the third to OmniVision.
