Amazon's Kindle is undoubtedly the king in the market of e-book readers, which is the most popular device of this type. Other companies, however, are trying to compete with Amazon. Chinese Xiaomi tried its hand at creating an e-book reader some time ago by releasing Xiaomi Mi Reader. After a year, Xiaomi decided to present a new version of its e-reader, this time with the additional note Pro in its name.

In terms of design, it is easy to notice one significant change compared to the model from 2019. This time Xiaomi focused on the black design of the device. Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro offers a 7.8 inch e-ink screen with 330 ppi pixel density that will allow users to set one of 24 levels of screen brightness adjustment. The new reader from Xiaomi will receive 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a quad-core processor, and the whole device will run on Android Oreo 8.1. The price of Xiaomi Mi Reader Pro has been set at 1299 yuan, which gives around 165$ when converted. For now, the reader can only be purchased in China.
