Phone manufacturers are trying to invent new and more intuitive solutions to unlock phones. One of the companies that sets trends in this aspect on the market is Apple, which was one of the first to implement the idea of unlocking the phone with using of face. The company wants to develop and its next step may be an ultrasonic fingerprint reader located in the screen.
This type of reader is going to work with using of special sensors that generate sound pulses. Impulses will return to the sensors, and then phone will be able to reproduce the fingerprint pattern after our touch. Thanks to this method, it would be possible to unlock the phone on entire screen surface, not just on a part of it covered by the built-in fingerprint reader. It is worth mentioning that Apple is not the first company that works on this type of fingerprint reader. Samsung has also developed its solution that will work in a similar way and it probably will be implemented to the upcoming flagship device of company, so Samsung Galaxy S10.
