Currently, almost all of the flagships of various manufacturers appearing on the market are waterproof, or at least this is what the phone manufacturers themselves say. It turns out, however, that they do not necessarily convey the truth in their advertisements. For this reason, Apple was fined by the Italian authority Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato in the amount of 12 million of dollars.
This penalty was imposed due to the waterproof problems of some iPhones. Apple's phones were advertised as devices that would last 30 minutes at a depth of 1 to 4 meters. It turns out, however, that this was only true under certain conditions. It is also worth noting that the warranty issued by the manufacturer on the phone did not cover damage resulting from contact with water. Due to misleading customers, there was a penalty imposed on Apple. The company from Cupertino didn't release a comment on this matter.
