Ultimately, Apple wants to be responsible for the production of the microLED screens used, but at the moment the company is unable to meet this and for this reason it is necessary to cooperate with other display manufacturers. The first smartwatch from Apple to receive a microLED display will be the Apple Watch Ultra from 2024. Initial plans assume that at least 60% of the displays needed to produce this watch will be made by Samsung and LG.
