Google Maps is becoming the primary application for people on the move, regardless of the means of transport. Initially, Google's application was used mainly to lead us in any way to the destination while driving a car, but over time the application has developed so much that it currently offers the most optimal way of driving including factors such as speed cameras or traffic jams on the streets. Now Google is undertaking an even more difficult task - company wants to develop its app in direction of urban communication.
This information was confirmed by notifications that have been shown to users from cities such as New York, Washington, Tokyo and Paris. Application asked the users about details of their journeys by metro, and more specifically how many seats were available. Notifications appeared among users using both Android and iOS. This news confirm Google's announcement from the previous year when company announced that it will start research on buses and trains in context of Google Maps.
