Smartphones manufactured by Google are not the cheapest on the market. Certainly, their advantages include the quality of product and "clean" Android, while they do not necessarily receive the best specification possible taking into account the currently available components on the market. Probably the same will be the case with Google Pixel 5, which will appear on the market in a few months.

Users of the XDA forum noticed in the Google Camera version 7.4 application code details about the processor to be used in new phones from the Pixel series. Pixel 4a is going to receive Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, while Pixel 5 will use different variants of Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor. This is not the best processor currently available on the market, but with good use of its capabilities it will certainly allow Google to create a solid phone. What's more, such a move from Google will certainly cause that price of the phone will be much lower than if the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 were used.
