Facebook earlier announced that firm plans to change Messenger's design. A new design of app leaked some time ago to the Internet. Leak was possible due to the closed tests of this version of the application, and a few weeks ago without any announcement Facebook changed appearance of the application to a new version for a limited group of users. Facebook claimed that it was a mistake, and Messenger quickly returned to the older version, but only for a moment. From today, new design of Messenger is available for all users around the world.

This change takes place on Facebook's servers, so it's loaded when application is turned on and we don't need to update Messenger to get a new look. In the new design of Messenger the dominant color is white, which can negatively affect life of batteries in phones. New menu is definitely simpler than old version, which is certainly a step in the right direction. For more serious ratings of the new design will come time after a few weeks spent with new version of Messenger, but in overall changes look promising.
