Niantic is a company known mainly for creating games for smartphones. Of course, the most popular title developed by this manufacturer is Pokemon GO, an application that has been at the forefront of the list of the most profitable smartphone applications for several years. But that's not all, as the company was responsible, among other things, for the development of a similar application in the Harry Potter universe. It is about the game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which debuted on the market over 2 years ago. However, it has not achieved much commercial success and will be officially removed from app stores in the near future.
Niantic has released an official announcement in which we can read that support for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will officially end on 31st of January 2022. Earlier, the game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play stores, as it will take place on 6th of December 2021. From that day on, users nor will they be able to make any in-game microtransactions. Niantic probably decided to make such a move due to the low interest in the application among users.
