Manufacturing technology is one of the most important things when it comes to creating processors. Currently companies are developing 7nm manufacturing technology, which will have big impact on battery efficiency and general productivity, and it seems that Samsung is the first company which completed all necessary preparations for creating processors in this technology.
Basing on the newest information we can say that Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and new processor from Exynos series will be produced in 7nm manufacturing technology. Samsung already confirmed that company finished their work six months ahead of schedule and now they are waiting for samples from Qualcomm which will help to develop new processors. However, Samsung won't waste their time because firm has launched special department which will be responsible for developing 5nm manufacturing technology.
