Contactless payments are becoming a very popular method of regulating payments in stores. Manufacturers are aware of this and to provide customers with services for which they is high demand are developing many different applications, including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Other manufacturers, however, are also trying their hand at mobile payments and it is impossible not to mention Samsung, which launched its proprietary Samsung Pay system in 2015. Since then, the application has been gradually released for more countries, but in 2019 Samsung expanded the range of the service for only one country - Indonesia. This will change in 2020.
Samsung officially announced that within the next 12 months the company wants to introduce Samsung Pay to other countries. For now, no information has been given about which countries will receive Samsung Pay, but certainly Samsung's service will be serious competition for Google and Apple in new markets, especially when we remind you that in 2019 Samsung managed to introduce some interesting features to Samsung Pay. We are talking among others about the option of international payments.
