T-Mobile and Sprint were talking about potential fusion for a long time. Both companies weren't able to compete with the biggest two companies on market on their own, because AT&T and Verizon gained the vast majority of the market in the United States. After months of negotiations both firms finally reached an agreement.

The company will operate under the name T-Mobile and its estimated value will amount to approximately 146 billion of dollars, and it will service approximately 126 million customers in the United States. John Legere, who until now was the president of the T-Mobile branch in the United States, will be the general manager of the new company. The bosses believe that thanks to this agreement, the new T-Mobile can establish an equal fight with other companies on the mobile market. We don't know how this agreement will affect the activities of T-Mobile and Sprint companies in other countries than the USA.
