The premiere of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will take place only in the second half of 2023, but until then Qualcomm must be ready to produce the right number of processors. The company is to cooperate again with Samsung and TSMC, but as in the case of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, cooperation with the second of the above-mentioned manufacturers is to be of key importance.

Current announcements indicate that TSMC will probably be responsible for the production of about 80% of units commissioned by Qualcomm. The reason is the satisfactory performance of this manufacturer, which is to increase the efficiency of one GAA wafer up to 80% from the current approximately 70%. Taking into account the fact that processor manufacturers pay for the number of GAA wafers used and the fact that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be made in the 3nm technological process, we can expect that the new units from Qualcomm will be more beneficial in many aspects for manufacturers, but also for users, as the 3nm process guarantees lower energy demand and greater efficiency of the processor.
