Almost from the beginning of TikTok's activity on the market, there were concerns about the security of customer data. Companies and governments were concerned about possible spying by China, as it is confirmed that data from TikTok is exported externally. For this reason, the governments of countries such as the United States, Canada and Belgium have decided to ban the use of TikTok on official government devices. Another country has just made a similar decision.
That country is Great Britain. The UK government emphasizes that the decision is aimed solely at protecting personal data and ensuring the security of government data. However, this is a precautionary decision and the possible threat to data through the use of TikTok by officials is a theoretical problem at the moment. Using TikTok by officials will of course be possible, but only from private phones.
