Samsung India has unveiled that the Galaxy C55 is set to debut in the Indian market under the moniker Galaxy F55. Initially anticipated to be a rebranded iteration of the Galaxy M55 tailored for Indian consumers, the Galaxy F55 distinguishes itself as a variant of the recently launched Galaxy C55 in China.

Diverging from mere nomenclature, the Galaxy C55 boasts a distinctive rear panel crafted from stitched vegan leather. This unique feature will soon be accessible to Indian buyers under the Galaxy F series banner.

Exclusive to online retail giant Flipkart, the Galaxy F lineup, including the upcoming F55, maintains its digital presence. While Samsung has not disclosed a precise release date, teasers hint at an imminent launch.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy F55 mirrors the M55 closely. It houses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 50MP primary rear camera, 50MP front-facing camera, and a robust 5,000 mAh battery supporting 45W super-fast charging.

Running on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 out of the box, the F55 promises four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. Notably, Galaxy AI features are omitted from its offerings.

While the color options for the F55 are yet to be fully disclosed, Samsung India has teased the availability of the orange variant, reminiscent of the Galaxy C55.
