Some time ago Google decided to change name of Google Keyboard into Gboard. At the same time company chose to add new features to app like option of searching information in Google during using this keyboard. Currently Google is working on new version of app, and we can expect few additions like shortcut to Google voice typing in settings, predicting emojis and - in our opinion most valuable option - translate feature.
The ability of translation will be activated by pressing a special icon, and after moment there will display menu in which we can decide for example into which language the message will be translated by Google Translate. There is one limitation - this option will work only if we have a connection to the Internet, otherwise we won't be able to use translator during using of Gboard. Currently, Google has closed tests of Gboard's new version, but we don't know when we can expect inclusion of new options to the standard version.
