Location tags from manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung are already available on the market. Everything indicates, however, that the competition in this market segment will be joined by another manufacturer - Google. In the code of Google pages, a location tag has been added to the list of devices, which is supposed to work in a similar way to AirTag.
The device itself is to be developed by the Nest team, but the tracker will not necessarily be released as a product developed by this team. As for the location tag itself, it was codenamed Grogu, but other codenames such as Groguaudio and GR10 also appear in some places. The tracker is to have a built-in speaker and will probably appear on the market in several color variants. There is a chance that Google will raise this topic at the Google I/O conference, which will most likely take place in May this year.
