Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL phones have been available on the market for over 3 years, since their debut took place in October 2017. Initially, both phones debuted with Android in 8 Oreo version. Currently, both devices support Android 11, but this is the end of official support for both smartphones from Google. Google has just released a last official update for both Pixel 2 devices.

The latest system update for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL mainly took care of strengthening security in smartphones. Both phones did not receive any new system functions, which were received just a few days ago by such a phone as the Pixel 3. We are talking about, among others, the Extreme Battery Saver option, which only runs the processes necessary for the phone to function. Owners of Pixels 2 and Pixels 2 XL will have to accept the fact that, unfortunately, their phones won't officially receive such functions in the official update from Google.
