The conflict between China and India over the Himalayan border has been going on for many years. Several days ago, during the battle on the border between India and China, 20 Indian soldiers were killed. The tragic turn of events caused that India decided to impose sanctions on China. The restrictions imposed will also apply to the electronic sphere. The Indian government decided to block access to 59 Chinese applications in the country.

An official statement issued by the Indian government indicates that the decision to block the application from the list was caused by the collection of data on the inhabitants of India and insufficient protection of these data, which was considered dangerous and threatening for India. TikTok is the best known application from the blocked programs list. For now, it is not known exactly how the Indian government wants to block these applications. In addition, alternative applications such as Chingari - an application whose operation is almost identical to TikTok - will be promoted in India. Over 2.5 million of users have already downloaded the Chingari application.
