The first media reports on the design of the upcoming iPhone 14 were inconclusive. Journalists wondered whether Apple will now decide to hide Face ID lenses completely under the screen or whether it will be a year later. According to The Elec, the Face ID function will use lenses located under the screen not until in the case of the iPhone 15 series.
In order to develop lenses placed under the screen, Apple will use technologies developed by Samsung, which can already be noticed in the case of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone. In the case of the iPhone 15, however, Apple will probably not choose to hide all the lenses under the screen, so only the lenses used by the Face ID function will be hidden, while the main front camera will still be an integral part of the display. For this reason, it can be expected that the iPhone 15 series will bring changes in the design of the series and Apple will use the cutout for the front camera in its phone, which is a solution well-known to Android users.
