The Chinese Weibo portal is very often the best source of information about producers from that country, because it is directly used by the company's CEOs. Similarly happened in the case of Redmi brand, where Lu Weibing decided to provide readers with the first confirmed information about two new phones: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.
The report from Weibo indicates that the Redmi Note 8 in the standard version will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, and the improved version with the Pro addon in the name will be one of the first phones that will use the Helio G90T unit created by MediaTek. When we will take a look on earlier reports, we can really say a lot about both devices. Redmi Note 8 is going to receive 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, the main camera using four lenses (one of them is a 48mpx lens) and a fingerprint reader located on the back of the smartphone. Redmi Note 8 Pro is going to receive a battery with a capacity of 4500mAh and a main camera using lenses 64mpx (to be manufactured by Samsung) and 48mpx, which will also be used in the standard version. Both phones will have their official premiere on 29th of August in China.
