Until now, Samsung has used its proprietary processors or units developed by Qualcomm in its flagship smartphones. It happened, however, that in the case of its cheaper phones, the company decided to use MediaTek processors. It is possible that this cooperation will be expanded in the future, as the latest press reports report the potential use of MediaTek processors in Samsung's flagship smartphones.
Journalists indicate that there is a chance to create a Galaxy S23 series phone that would run on the MediaTek processor. Almost certainly, however, not all phones from the upcoming series of phones would use such a processor and the use of this unit would be limited to the cheapest variants of Samsung's flagship. Moreover, it is said that such a decision could be territorially limited and only apply to phones sold in Asia.
