Unofficial assumptions about the final shape of Xiaomi Mi 9 are released every day. Recently, in the benchmarks appeared a new device produced by Xiaomi which received codename Cepheus and many people suppose that this is Mi 9 model. One of the few confirmed information is that the new flagship of Xiaomi will receive an improved battery. This report was confirmed by the general director of the company, Lei Jun on the Chinese portal named Weibo.

Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi Mi 9 will use an even faster charger than the recently presented Redmi Note 7 (Redmi Note 7 model uses a 24 W charger). This means that Mi 9 should receive a 32 W charger which is closely related to the Quick Charge 5 charging method. Interestingly, processor which will probably become an integral part of the Mi 9, so Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 at least officially doesn't support Quick Charge 5. This information would mean that changes to the software of phone are enough to use Quick Charge 5, and changes in the technical part of phones will only be optional.
