Number of mentions of mobile industry in the Guinness Book of Records is increasing from day by day. Several days ago fans of OnePlus broke a record related to the number of unpacked items at the same moment, and this is not the end of atypical records. This time new record is connected with another Chinese company - Xiaomi, but in this case the company itself is responsible for breaking the record, not its fans. The record bases on opening the number of new stores on one day.
On 29th of October Xiaomi opened 500 new stores in India, which is one of the most important markets for the Chinese company. This number allowed to beat the official Guinness record, and a few hours ago all formalities related to the record confirmation were completed, and then Xiaomi boasted about its achievement on Twitter. Financially this year so far is phenomenal for Xiaomi, and it is especially worth paying attention to the Indian market where Xiaomi leads in the number of sold smartphones during the third quarter. This is not the end of the company's development, as Xiaomi announces that it plans to open 5000 stores by the end of 2019 in India itself.
