It was certain that Apple would develop this series, but we did not know much about the release date of the new earphones from this series. Due to the fact that the first AirPods Pro earphones appeared on the market in 2019, some journalists expected that in 2021 the AirPods Pro 2 would appear on the market. Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the experts when it comes to leaks on Apple equipment however, indicates that we will have to wait a little longer for the AirPods Pro 2.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new device from AirPods Pro series will appear on the market in 2022. Earlier, journalists from Bloomberg speculated about a similar date. One of the reasons for such a delay may be the fact that the AirPods series headphones arouse less interest than initially assumed by Apple. Initially, Apple assumed that the company would be able to sell about 75-85 million of earphones from its flagship series, while in real terms the company can count on the sale of 70-75 million of earphones.
