Upcoming MWC 2019 should be very productive for LG. During this event we will probably receive information about two interesting smartphones from this manufacturer, namely LG G8 ThinQ and LG V50 ThinQ. However, it's easy to notice that most companies intensify their activities in the area of creating a foldable smartphone. The companies like Samsung or Xiaomi try their strength in this area. It looks like so far LG doesn't share optimism of other companies about this solution.
According to LG, the introduction of a 5G network for public use will be a much more important topic for the mobile market than creating foldable smartphones. This doesn't mean that the company isn't thinking about creating such a phone, but LG's bosses feel it's still too early for this project. In opinion of LG the demand for foldable devices will not be high enough to satisfy the expectations of all producers who will decide to release these types of smartphones to the market in the nearest future.
