Netflix account sharing option is very popular, but according to its project, it is only possible to share an account between people living in the same household. This condition is intended to limit illegal account sharing with random people. However, this practice is popular on the Internet and Netflix intends to fight it, hence a new option to verify the place of residence of people using one account will be checked in the near future.
Under the new guidelines, Netflix will expect anyone using the account on each device to connect to the same Wi-Fi network as the primary account. The request will be repeated and the process will need to be repeated every 31 days. For now, however, the change will not be implemented in all countries, and the new account sharing verification method will only be required for North American users.
