After premiere of OnePlus 6T in a limited edition developed in cooperation with McLaren, we shouldn't expect more limited variants of this phone, and then we should slowly focus our attention on finding information about the successor of 6T model. Probably in terms of size it will be a similar smartphone to its predecessor, but in the latest interview Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus confirmed that there is an option to release a smaller version of the flagship devices developed by his company.

Pete Lau sees a lot of potential in the market of smaller phones and is aware of the high demand for such devices. In his opinion, OnePlus is "open to creating a smaller version of its flagship device" if the company manages to make significant progress in the battery segment. Without reduction of battery's size creating such a phone is impossible, and at the moment production of a small enough battery with a satisfactory capacity is impossible. Basically it looks that OnePlus will release more than one version of their flagships, but when will it happen? It all depends on the technological progress of the company itself as well as the entire market.
