A dozen or so days ago, we mentioned that in the code of the Telegram application, changes were noticed indicating the upcoming introduction of the Premium service. So far, the owners of the application have not spoken on this matter, but we finally received confirmation that Telegram will soon receive an additional, paid premium plan.
These reports were confirmed by the founder and current CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov. The Telegram Premium plan should be implemented before the end of this month. Key features in the application will still remain free, while the premium plan is to allow, among other things, higher limits for media uploads or higher download speeds. Earlier leaks indicated that users, after purchasing Telegram Premium, will be able to share files up to 4GB in size, and the service price is expected to oscillate around 4.99$ for a monthly subscription.
