All major producers of smartphones are preparing step by step for the official release of the new version of Android system. In the coming days, public beta of system will probably be published for OnePlus's users, and the first in the queue for stable version of Android Pie are owners of Pixel phones, but these information doesn't mean that other companies are wasting their time. Among other things we should mention Sony, which has published the official list of devices produced by this company that will receive an update to Android Pie.
As we can read on the Internet, Sony will release update to Android 9 for: Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Sony Xperia XZ1, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Sony Xperia XZ2, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, Sony Xperia XA2, Sony Xperia XA2 Plus and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra. Sony will release official update of system for phones from Xperia XZ series in November, while devices from Xperia XA2 lineup will receive it at the beginning of 2019.
